  • Arranged extended production financing for Warner Bros.’ The Ultimate Warrior starring Yul Brynner.
  • Production Executive on Sandy Howard Productions’ City on Fire starring Shelley Winters and Leslie Nielsen.
  • Production Executive on Sandy Howard Productions’ Jaguar Lives! starring Donald Pleasance.

SCREENWRITING

  • Commissioned by film director Mike Marvin in the 1980s to write the script “Camp Trek” for an independent film. Not produced.

  • The Stalker: Zebra Books 1984; new edition from Crossroad Press in 2025, featuring audiobook. Motion picture/TV rights optioned twice in the 1980s by seasoned film/TV director Kevin Connor.
  • The Wilds: Dell Books 1989; new editions in 2026 by Fantom Press and Crossroad Press, audiobook forthcoming.

Both classics back in print by popular demand.

Publishing Career

Built and scaled a premier academic publishing house: Roxbury Publishing Company. Published 120+ books in sociology, criminology, criminal justice, communications, women’s studies, gender studies, and political science. Decades of experience developing books with distinguished scholars. Culminating in the successful acquisition of Roxbury by Oxford University Press.

Editorial Service

Edited book manuscripts and screenplays for distinguished writers, including Joan Didion, John Gregory Dunne, Carolyn See, and Orson Welles.

Theater Director

  • Directed and produced Talk to Me Like the Rain and Let Me Listen by Tennessee Williams at the Westchester Theatre in Los Angeles. The cast featured  lifetime members of the Actors Studio.
  • Directed Favorite Things by Janice Kennedy for the Los Angeles Female Playwrights Initiative.
  • Directed four staged readings of new plays written by women at Women in Theatre.
  • Studied performance art with the late Rachel Rosenthal.
  • Former Board Member Odessey Theatre. Worked with the late Artistic Director Ron Sossi.

Education

  • B.A. Beloit College. Double major in Comparative Literature and International Relations. Studied theatre.
  • Degree from the University of Paris-Sorbonne. Majored in French Civilization. Studied and worked in France for several years. Fluent in French.
